The detail about camera #4 capturing the most activity, especially the regular sightings of a male lion between 11:00 PM—4:00 AM, is fascinating. I’ve had similar experiences with wildlife cameras, where setting them up in areas with minimal human activity yields the best results, and it’s great that the author is using this technique to monitor the canyon trail. The idea of these animals, like the mountain lion and bobcats, having their own routines and habitats in the canyon is really interesting and makes me want to learn more about wildlife monitoring and conservation.

Sorry, I don’t except to say that “rituals” help. In other words, having a cup a tea or taking a walk or doing specific exercises–rituals differ per individual. I also schedule times when I write. I’m a morning person, so I write in the AM.

Not only is the trail alive with critters, but the buckeye tree seeds are sprouting everywhere.
